Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Orizo ("Orizo", "we", "us") and govern your use of the Orizo app, the web app at orizo.app, and this website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What Orizo is — and isn't

Orizo is a training and nutrition companion: it builds running and lifting plans, adapts them to readiness signals like sleep and heart-rate variability, tracks meals, and connects you with coaches and a community.

2. Eligibility and your account

3. Your license to use Orizo

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own training. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, scrape, or build a competing dataset from the Service, or interfere with its operation (including probing or attacking our infrastructure, or attempting to manipulate XP, leaderboards or leagues through automated or fraudulent activity).

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you post — photos, videos, posts, comments, workout shares. By posting to community features you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display and distribute that content within the Service (that's what showing your post in other people's feeds is, legally). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared by others (e.g. a repost) and backups that expire on their own schedule.

If you contribute a food product to the community barcode database, you agree that the product information (name, nutrition values, barcode — never anything personal) becomes available to other users and may be retained after you leave.

5. Community rules

Don't post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, pornographic, or that promotes disordered eating or dangerous training practices. Don't spam. Don't post other people's personal information. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules — with severity to match the offence, and permanently for the serious ones.

6. Coaching

Coaches on Orizo are independent users, not our employees or agents. We provide the tools (plans, sessions, progress views, messaging), but we don't vet coaches' qualifications and are not a party to any arrangement between you and a coach. Whether and what you share with a coach is your choice — nutrition data in particular is shared only with your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

7. Health data and integrations

Connecting Health Connect, Apple Health, a heart-rate monitor or a treadmill is optional. You control these permissions and can revoke them at any time. How we handle the resulting data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.

8. Messages

Direct messages are end-to-end encrypted; we cannot read them and cannot recover them if you lose access to your devices. Encryption does not suspend the community rules — harassment via DM is still a violation we act on when reported.

9. Availability and changes to the Service

We work hard to keep Orizo fast and available, but the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may add, change or retire features (including free features), and we may interrupt the Service for maintenance. If we ever discontinue Orizo entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your data.

10. Termination

You can stop using Orizo and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse other users, or threaten the integrity of the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (4, 11, 12) survive it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orizo is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service — including injuries sustained while training, decisions made based on readiness or nutrition estimates, GPS or sensor inaccuracies, or the acts of other users (including coaches). Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Greece, and disputes are subject to the courts of Greece — except that if you are a consumer in the EU, you keep the protections and venue rights granted by the mandatory law of your country of residence.

13. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms; if you don't, stop using the Service and delete your account.
